ROB: Robotic Operating Buddyby ~Eyes5

Artisan Crafts / Dolls, Plushies & Custom Toys / Plushies

A commission of ROB, a Nintendo robot thing! He stands at around 10 inches.

This plushie was interesting to make in that it was a lesson in balancing and budgeting. I had to figure out a way for ROB's sections to be supported on his relatively thin spine-thingy, which was complicated by the weight of his arms. It wouldn't do to have him sagging or toppling over. As for budgeting, this plushie was subject to runaway costs. It turned out much bigger than I wanted it to be, which sometimes happens with plushies because they poof out once they're stuffed. Also, I spent a lot of time or money on parts, such as the curly elastic at the back that had to be ordered and the cloth-covered eyes. The amount I charged was hardly worth the effort I put into this thing!
